HangarSlot Terms of Service

Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]

These terms are an agreement between you and JH Aviation LLC ("HangarSlot", "we", "us"), which runs HangarSlot at hangarslot.net and the HangarSlot app for iPhone and iPad (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What HangarSlot is, and isn't

HangarSlot helps aircraft owners, partnerships, flying clubs, flight schools and their mechanics keep aircraft records, schedule and fly aircraft, and share the costs.

• HangarSlot is not the FAA and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the FAA.
• You stay responsible for airworthiness and every flight. "Can it fly?", due items, AD lists, reminders and risk assessments are aids. The owner or operator remains responsible for keeping the aircraft airworthy and its records complete under 14 CFR Part 91, mechanics for their work and sign-offs under Part 43, and the pilot in command for every flight. Always check the aircraft's actual records and the current official FAA documents.
• Each hangar runs itself. Its owners and admins decide who joins, who may fly what, its rules, rates and dues. HangarSlot isn't a party to any agreement between partners, members, instructors, students or a hangar.

2. Your account

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date. One person per account.
• Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account; tell us right away at support@hangarslot.net if you think someone else has used it.
• You must be at least 13 to use HangarSlot. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

3. Records and signatures

• Logbook entries you sign in HangarSlot are signed with your own device and checked on our server. Signing an entry means the same as signing it on paper: only sign work you did or supervised and are certificated to approve.
• A signed entry can't be changed; a correction is a new entry that refers to it.
• Aircraft records belong with the aircraft. Owners can export them at any time, and they're never held back for any reason, including an unpaid plan.

4. Plans and purchases

• A new hangar gets a free month with every feature. After that, a hangar subscribes to a plan (currently Basic, Premium or Unlimited AI, priced per aircraft), with the optional Maintenance Tracker add-on and more storage. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• If a hangar doesn't subscribe, or its subscription lapses, it becomes read-only: records stay viewable and exportable, and "Can it fly?", grounding, squawks and sign-offs keep working, but new flights, aircraft, uploads and AI wait until someone subscribes.
• Plans bought in the iPhone or iPad app are Apple in-app purchases. Apple charges you, renews automatically until you cancel, and handles refunds, under Apple's terms. You can cancel any time in your Apple account settings, and you keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for.
• We may change plans or prices. Price changes apply from your next renewal, and Apple will tell you before a price increase takes effect.
• Mechanics, instructors and members don't pay for HangarSlot; the hangar does.

5. Money between people in a hangar

• Charges, dues, cost shares, statements and instructor pay are set by the hangar. HangarSlot does the arithmetic the hangar asks for; the hangar is responsible for its rates and what it bills.
• Card payments go to the hangar through the hangar's own Stripe account. HangarSlot doesn't hold that money and keeps a 1% service fee shown before you pay. Refunds and disputes are between the payer and the hangar.

6. AI features

When you ask, HangarSlot uses an AI model to read a receipt or draft a checklist. AI can be wrong. Check every reading and draft before you save it; you are responsible for what you save. We send only the file you chose to our AI provider (see the Privacy Policy).

7. Your content

"Your content" is anything you put into HangarSlot: records, documents, photos, bookings, messages and money entries.

• You and your hangar own your content. You give HangarSlot permission to store, copy, process and show it only as needed to run the Service for you and the people you share it with, and to keep backups.
• You must have the right to upload what you upload.

8. Acceptable use

Don't:

• give false information, sign entries you aren't entitled to sign, or pretend to be someone else;
• use HangarSlot to harass anyone, or to send spam;
• try to see information you're not allowed to see, get around limits or security, or disrupt the Service;
• copy or scrape the Service, or resell it, without our written permission;
• upload anything illegal, harmful or that you don't have the right to share.

Anyone can report a message or post in the app, and a hangar's owners and admins can remove it. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

9. Text messages

HangarSlot alerts is HangarSlot's text message program. If you opt in by confirming your mobile number with the code we text to it, JH Aviation LLC (HangarSlot) texts you the alerts you choose about your hangar, for example bookings, squawks, due items and payments. Opting in is never required, and nobody else can opt you in.

• How many messages you get depends on your hangar and the alerts you choose.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to cancel at any time; you can also turn texts off in Notification settings.
• Support: support@hangarslot.net.
• How we handle your number is in our Privacy Policy.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep HangarSlot running and your data safe, but the Service may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change.

11. Ending your account

You can stop using HangarSlot at any time and delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. Sections 1, 3, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14 continue after an account ends.

12. Disclaimers

HangarSlot is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information in it (including due dates, AD lists, FAA data and AI readings) is complete, current or correct.

13. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, HangarSlot and JH Aviation LLC won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid HangarSlot in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

You agree to cover HangarSlot's reasonable costs from claims caused by your content or your breaking these terms.

14. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Kansas, unless the law requires otherwise.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use HangarSlot after that means you accept the updated terms.
